The Sony FDR-AX43A is a 4K (3840 x 2160) handycam that you can easily carry with you due to its compactness. The camera is equipped with an in-built gimbal mechanism (Optical SteadyShot) so that you always have stable images while you are on the move. Even when walking, running or zooming in, your image remains stable and you won't suffer from vibrations.

The camera has a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T-lens. ZEISS is known for its extremely high quality and years of experience with lenses. Thanks to the AA lens elements in the lens, every scene is faithfully recorded. In addition, the ED glass ensures sharp colours without aberration. The coating on the lens improves image quality and counteracts unwanted reflections such as reflections and flares. The lens has a wide angle of 26.8 mm (16:9 aspect ratio) and has 20x optical zoom. In addition, the camera has a Clear Image Zoom of 30x on 4K and 40x on HD. 

The FDR-AX43A includes a 1/2.5 CMOS image sensor and a BIONZ X image processor. These ensure that you can take great images even in low light. The camera also has a Fast intelligent autofocus. This means you can focus on your subjects quickly and accurately. You can also lock your subject in your autofocus so that it continues to track your subject. So you never have to miss a shot again. The camera also includes face detection and a Smile Shutter that allows you to quickly and automatically shoot photos, even while filming. In addition, this camera contains an updated LED display with 921600 pixels. As a result, you benefit from even better clarity and quality compared to the camera's predecessor (460800 pixels).

Thanks to three capsules in the microphone, the camera records sound from 5 directions. Also, the advanced audio processing delivers a much better sound recording. In addition, approximately 40% less background noise is recorded and you can enjoy stereo or 5.1 channel surround separation (AVCHD) for realistic, clear sound recording. Furthermore, you no longer have to worry about disturbing voices from the person operating the camera, thanks to the My Voice 
Canceling function on the camera.
