What is a tabletop tripod?
A tabletop tripod is a small and light tripod that can be placed on a solid surface to provide extra support for a 360, action or compact camera. Thanks to the compact construction, this type of tripod can be used in a variety of situations, but is particularly useful when there is not much space to carry a large tripod. With three small legs, you can stabilise the camera and quickly connect it via the screw mechanism. In addition to unique images, this tripod is also very suitable for experimenting in small spaces.
Easy to carry
Thanks to the limited height and foldable legs, a tabletop tripod is very suitable to take with you without using a bag, during daily activities or while travelling. Many models can even fit in a trouser or jacket pocket and therefore offer a solution if it is not possible to take a larger tripod with you. For instance, for a visit to a museum, store or during sports activities.
Support for various tripod heads
Despite the limited height and the light weight, tabletop tripods offer support for various types of cameras. Models up to 10 euro can bear the weight of compact or mirrorless cameras, while tabletop tripods of a few tenners can even bear the weight of a DSLR camera with a lens. Via the screw, you mount the tripod on your camera and thanks to the small size of the tripod you do not keep on having to disconnect it.
