What are the repair conditions?
Repair conditions vary by Product and type of damage (manufacturing defects or user damage). Manufacturing defects are usually covered by the warranty. Own-use damage is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty and will be repaired at your own cost.
Which products can I register for repair?
You can register a wide range of photo and video equipment for repair, including cameras, lenses, drones and accessories.
My product is defective, what now?
If your Product is defective, please contact our Customer Service. They will be happy to help you repair or replace it, depending on the warranty conditions.
How can I register my product for repair?
Want to send in a defective Product? Then follow the step-by-step plan below: 1. Fill in the repair form and clearly describe the complaint. 2. Attach a copy of the invoice or purchase receipt and, if applicable, the original warranty card. 3. Send only the item related to the complaint or defect (no Accessories such as Carrier straps or Ink cartridges; in the case of Printers, please leave the cartridges in place). 4. Pack the article well and send it by registered mail to: Kamera Express BV T.a.v. Reparaties Essebaan 55 2908 LJ Capelle aan den IJssel 5. You will receive a confirmation e-mail as soon as we have received your shipment.
Who will repair my product?
Your Product will be repaired by authorised service centres of the manufacturer.
How long does a repair take?
The average repair time is between 4 and 6 weeks, depending on the type of Product and the nature of the repair.
Can I get a replacement product if my repair takes a long time?
In exceptional cases, a loan product may be provided. This depends on availability and the nature of the repair. If you would like a replacement Product please contact our Customer Service.
Will I receive updates on the status of my repair?
Yes, you will be informed of the status of your repair by e-mail.
Is my repair free?
If the defect falls within the warranty conditions, such as a manufacturing defect, the repair is usually Free. For user damage (e.g. water, fall or impact damage), charges may apply.
Do I need to pay for my repair upfront or afterward?
For repairs outside the warranty period, you will receive an estimate in advance. You pay the costs afterwards.
What is the difference between a manufacturing defect and user damage?
A manufacturing defect is a defect caused by a problem in the production process, such as a malfunctioning button or an internal malfunction. User damage results from misuse or accident, such as a broken screen or water damage. Manufacturing defects usually fall within the warranty, while user damage does not. Insurance can provide additional coverage against user damage.
What is the warranty period of my product?
The warranty period differs per Product. With normal use, you can assume that your Product will not break down for the first 2 years. Therefore, on most products you get at least 2 years warranty on defects, unless stated otherwise. In addition, we offer extra warranty on selected Cameras, giving these Products a whopping 5-year warranty.

Yes, you can also have your Product repaired outside the warranty period. In this case, the costs are at your own expense.
