The camera has 50.1 megapixels at up to 30 photos per second. The combination of the 50.1 megapixels and the Exmor RS CMOS sensor gives you high resolution and sensitivity with low noise and a dynamic range of up to 15 stops. The image processing processor even delivers higher colour accuracy than other models.

The high resolution is combined with incredible speed. The high readout speed enables continuous burst shooting with AF and AE tracking. 8K video 30p- and 4K 120p-video in 10-bit

Shooting with the Sony A1

The eye-autofocus for animals has been developed even further, giving you the chance to get the eyes in sharp focus with various animals. But it doesn't stop there, as you can now apply it even when the animal is hanging upside down. In addition, the already existing eye-autofocus has been improved, allowing the Alpha 1 to track human eyes and keep them in sharp focus as you move along. The camera also has the ability to set real-time tracking. You activate this by half-pressing the shutter button, moving your camera along with you, and you keep the autofocus. Activate face/eye autofocus in AF and you are also assured of seamless AI tracking of human eyes and eyes of animals and birds. The real-time eye-autofocus capabilities can also be applied in video recordings.

The A1 uses the S-Cinetone colour matrix this ensures stunning colours and skin tones in the VENICE, FX6 and other Cinema Line cameras. This matrix capitalises on expressive depth by enabling natural midtones for healthy skin tones, soft colours and brilliant highlights.
