Sigma 35mm F/1.2 DG DN
This F/1.2 wide-angle lens, with autofocus, from Sigma is suitable for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras. This lens helps photographers get the most out of a full-frame mirrorless camera with an E-mount. The optical design ensures various forms of aberrations, which are difficult to correct with software, are minimised. This while the optical correction functionalities are optimally used. The resolution is greatly improved thanks to the optical design.
Three SLD glass elements and three aspherical lens elements, including one double-sided aspherical element, are optimally organised in an optical design of 17 elements in 12 groups. The optical design makes effective use of the advantages of the shorter distance to the flange, whilst also taking advantage of the in-camera correction functionality.
Thanks to the Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), this lens focuses very accurately and quickly, even at F1.2. The HSM ensures the correct amount of force is applied to drive the lens group. By turning the focus ring, you attain accurate manual focus, thanks to the focus by wire system. The aperture ring features a de-click function for removing clicks, so adjusting the aperture value is seamless during video recording.
Various functions can be assigned to the AFL button, thus expanding the range of possibilities the lens has to offer.In addition, the oil and water resistant coating on the front lens element and the dust and splash proof construction ensure excellent performance, even in the most challenging conditions.
