Shimoda Core Unit Large DV
The Shimoda Core Unit Large DV is a bag divider suitable for large Cine and DV cameras’s. For example, the Core Unit Large DV is perfect for RED camera’s, the Canon C300 and the Sony FS-7. In addition, the extra depth of this bag divider also makes it suitable for packing ready-to-use SLR or system camera video setups. Although the bag is actually meant for digital video cameras’s, it is also very suitable for cameras’s with long telephoto lenses.
The walls and dividers of the Shimoda Core Unit are made of EVA. EVA offers much better protection than the cheaper PE foam used in many camera bags. The EVA edges are thin and take up little space while still offering superior protection. The DV series Core Units have an added frame around the edge of the opening, this allows the divider to keep its shape and not collapse. The frame also adds strength and support and helps distribute the weight of heavy equipment.
The Shimoda Core Unit comes with a lightweight, water-resistant cover. Ideal for storing your gear, the cover keeps the Core Unit sealed and dust-free. You can also use the cover as an extra packing option for clothing or other items.
The DV Core Units are specially made for the Shimoda Action X70 backpack and DV roller. Both bags offer a very generous amount of volume for transporting and protecting a large amount of equipment. The large DV Core Unit just barely fills the X70 and the DV Roller, so it can still be combined with a small Core Unit for additional configuration options.
