Kowa Adapter Ring TSN-AR500A
The Kowa Adapter Ring TSN-AR500A is the adapter ring you need to connect a Kowa smartphone adapter to a Kowa TSN-501 or TSN-502 spotting scope so you can digiscope.
Note: When you have a Kowa TSN-501 or TSN-502 spotting scope with a serial number from 568106 onwards, you need this TSN-AR500A. Should the spotting scope have a serial number of 568105 or lower, you will need the TSN-AR500. From this serial number onwards, an eyepiece with a diameter of 37.5 mm is used.
Digiscoping is taking photo and/or video recordings by using a smartphone in combination with binoculars or spotting scope. This way, you can magnify/close subjects enormously where even the smallest details are perfectly visible.
If you have equipped your smartphone with a Kowa smartphone adapter, it is possible to connect it to the Kowa TSN-501 and TSN-502 models using the Kowa TSN-AR500A.
You can simply connect the adapter to the smartphone adapter after which you slide the ring over one eyepiece of the spotting scope. Because everything fits together perfectly, you no longer need to make adjustments and are guaranteed to get the best results. You are now ready to digiscope.
To get the best results, it is advisable to place the spotting scope on a tripod. This is easily done because the TSN-501 and TSN-502 are equipped with a tripod connection. When placed on a tripod, it is also possible for several people to look through the spotting scope.
When you remove the smartphone adapter including ring from the binoculars, only the smartphone adapter ring needs to be removed. This smartphone adapter is also a protective case that can stay around your smartphone, providing good protection against drops and bumps.
The inner diameter of this ring is 40 mm, making the TSN-AR500A also usable with other brands when the eyepiece has an outer diameter of 40 mm.
