Description
Bresser Messier 6" planetary Dobson telescope with solar filter
The Bresser Messier 6" planetary Dobson telescope with solar filter is something quite special. Despite its low price, it offers a variety of features and quality that you might not find on much more expensive devices. With an aperture diameter of 150 mm and a strong 1200 mm focal length of the pure colour mirror optics, observation of the moon, the planets and planetary nebulae is particularly possible. The craters and grooves of the moon and the rapidly changing shadows cast on the so-called terminator are exciting observation targets. Saturn with its impressive ring, Jupiter with its cloud bands and the movement of its highly visible moons, the crescent shape of Venus and the reddish glowing Mars are good examples of what this telescope can be used for.
Thanks to the long basic focal length, you can easily reach the high magnifications you need with this telescope. You don't need expensive special eyepieces for this. In short, this is a telescope primarily intended for detailed observation. Nevertheless, bright deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula or the galaxies Messier 81 and 82 etc. can also be easily recognised.
Photography too is no problem with this tube. This shows another strength of this telescope: if you want to take photos, you can simply unscrew the elevation wheels from the tube and place it on an equatorial mount with an optionally available dovetail rail - and nothing stands in the way of astrophotography. The included eyepiece adapter even features the usual T2 connection thread (M42x0.75 mm), which can be used to mount almost any standard still camera. All you need is the camera-specific T2 adapter ring. Of course, standard USB planetary cameras with a 1.25-inch or 2-inch plug diameter can also be used directly with this telescope.
With the initial equipment, you can observe right away: an optical 6x30 viewfinder and a 25 mm Super Plössl eyepiece are included with the device. If you want to transport the device as compactly as possible, it is particularly easy with the new 6" BRESSER Messier Planet Dobson - the rocker box can be disassembled in just a few steps because the parts are assembled with metal quick-release fittings. This quickly transforms a bulky rocker box into a handy, flat package.
A telescope whose versatility, performance and ease of use set new standards in this price range.
Keep in mind that Newton-type reflecting telescopes are very good for astronomical observations of the night sky, but are not well suited for daytime nature and landscape observations.
