The BlackVue DR900X-2CH Plus is a premium 4K model Cloud dash cam from Blackvue. The front camera has an 8 megapixel CMOS sensor for the best 4K Ultra High Definition recording quality. The rear camera has a Full HD Sony STARVIS sensor. With these sensors it can take high quality footage in all light and weather conditions.
The HEVC (H.265) compression technology guarantees high quality recordings, without sacrificing recording time. The DR900X features a built-in Dual-band GPS receiver, Dual-Band Wi-Fi and an integrated parking mode function thanks to the CH-3P1 fixed power cable supplied with it. The dash cam is LTE Ready, and can be connected to BlackVue Cloud via a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The high-quality lens, in combination with 4K Ultra HD recording quality, captures smooth, clear footage. So, all details are brought into sharp focus, even at high speeds and over long distances. The front camera has an 8 megapixel CMOS sensor which enables 4K recording. The rear camera has a 2.1 megapixel Sony STARVIS lens. The front camera has a wide viewing angle of 162 degrees, and the rear camera has a viewing angle of 139 degrees. This lets you not only capture the road, but also adjacent driving lanes, cycle paths and more.
In addition to the regular H.264 codec, the DR900X series also features H.265, otherwise known as High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC). H.265 is the leading standard in 4K recording. Thanks to this H.265 technology, the file size of a 4K UHD recording is comparable to that of a Full HD H.264 recording. In other words, you make recordings that are 4 times larger without sacrificing recording time on your SD card.
