Voigtländer Nokton 35mm F/1.2 Type IV ASPH Leica M-mount black
.The Voigtländer Nokton 35mm F/1.2 Type IV ASPH lens (Leica M-mount, black) is a manually focusable prime lens for the Leica M system, characterised by exceptional speed, excellent image performance and a high-quality all-metal body. As the fourth generation of this legendary lens type, it combines modern optical precision with traditional mechanics - ideal for demanding photographers who want to work manually.
The optical construction consists of 9 elements in 7 groups, including four aspherical surfaces. These ensure effective correction of aberrations such as spherical aberration or distortion and enable consistently high image quality all the way to the corners - even at open aperture. The use of high refractive index glass further optimises contrast and sharpness.
The impressive speed of f/1.2 not only provides excellent reserves in low light, but also allows for very pronounced background blur and a focused cropping of the subject. The 12-blade aperture has been specially designed to achieve the most circular aperture possible, ensuring particularly soft and natural-looking bokeh - ideal for portraits, street photography or atmospheric reportage.
A special feature is the extended close-up limit: while the rangefinder allows coupling up to 0.7m, in Live View mode the lens can even focus up to 0.5m. This flexibility opens up additional creative possibilities for close-ups and detail studies.
The precisely manufactured metal housing houses a precisely tuned helicoïde focusing unit with optimal torque. This enables extremely precise, smooth focusing - an important feature, especially at open Aperture, when the focusing range is extremely narrow.
With its compact form factor, the lens remains comfortable to hold and balanced - both on rangefinder cameras and mirrorless cameras via adapters. The VM bayonet mount is fully compatible with the Leica M mount, making the lens the ideal choice for anyone looking to combine classic photography with uncompromising quality.
