These work together to help suppress both spherical and chromatic aberrations for more sharpness, clarity and colour reproduction.
The floating element design ensures consistent image quality across the focus range. The lens's manual focus design allows you to focus on subjects as close as 25cm away. The lens includes a click switch, which allows you to turn off the click of the aperture ring for a smooth, quiet exposure setting for film recording applications. In addition, the 12 blade aperture contributes to a pleasant bokeh quality.
