Valoi Levelling Mirror
The Valoi Levelling Mirror is a level mirror, specially tested and approved by Valoi and is well made, and more importantly, it is flat on the back.
This mirror is specially made for Valoi: 1 circle with a diameter of 100 mm, with 6 mm thick glass and safety edges to prevent you from cutting yourself. It is not framed, so the perfect flatness of the mirror is maintained.
Steps to level your camera with a mirror:
Get ready to scan with all the right things in the right place.
Place this Valoi Levelling Mirror on top of your entire setup (on top of the holder).
The camera should now 'see itself'.
Turn on live-view on the camera/look through the viewfinder and focus on the front part of the lens.
Adjust the camera position (tilt and pan) until the centre of the camera screen/viewfinder is in the centre of the aperture. The film and camera are perfectly parallel when the centre of the camera sensor sees the centre of the reflected lens aperture.
(If you own the Valoi Advancer or Adapter 104, use the micro-adjustment feet for perfect results.)
Make sure you don't change anything, remove the mirror, refocus on the film and scan your images.
It is recommended that you recheck this procedure every time you start scanning and also during a longer scanning session.
