Valoi easy35 35mm Half-Frame Holder
The Valoi easy35 35mm Half-Frame Holder lets you scan 35mm half-frame film with optimum quality, masking extra light and shortening the film path for optimum flatness. The holder fits into the easy35 system just like any other compatible holder - by sliding out the existing holder and inserting this new one.
The dimensions of the port are approximately: 21 mm long and 25.7 mm wide, allowing you to see the entire frame with a small edge. Valoi easy35 holders work by feeding the film through a thin slit that goes through the entire holder and comes out the other side. This way, you can easily push or pull the film all the way through, saving time and effort compared to a traditional clam shell holder.
All Valoi holders use a double-S curve design, where the slit through which the film passes curves before and after the scanning gate.
By bending the film slightly in one direction on both sides, greater flatness is achieved than would be possible with a straight slit.
