Valoi Cinestill CS-LITe
Film scanning is brighter than ever with the Valoi Cinestill CS-LITE camera scan light source. Combine this with the Valoi 360 camera scanning system and you are well on your way to an affordable, easy-to-use digital camera scanning setup.
This product is powered via USB and requires a 5V/1.6A power supply (usually a phone charger) with USB-A. Even a small/older power supply can power this device.
The lamp can be used independently (flat on a table) or in combination with the separately available Valoi 360 Adapter 104 or Valoi 360 LightAdapter for more stability and adjustable feet.
The CS-LITE has a CRI of 95+ for high colour accuracy and a brightness of EV 15+ to provide enough illumination for even the densest negatives. What sets the CS-LITE apart from other light sources on the market is its ability to adapt colour temperatures to different types of film, such as colour negative, colour positive and black and white. These are controlled directly via the CS-LITE's built-in remote control.
The Cool Light mode reduces the orange mask present in colour negative film, ensuring colour-balanced scans with better colour separation and less noise. White Light mode is ideal for scanning black-and-white film. Finally, Warm Light mode is perfect for scanning standard E6-processed slide film, as its tungsten-balanced light can produce richer tones and improved colour separation, especially within the red channel.
The included CS-LITE mask is a mask that allows you to slide the Valoi holders directly into the plate. This provides a compact, stabilised solution to keep your film in place during digitisation. The mask around the edges of the carrier helps eliminate stray light, reduce unwanted reflections and maintain uniformity across the entire scan.
