The SmallRig 5196 Universal Mounting Clamp for External SSD securely attaches portable SSDs (40-60mm wide x 8-17mm thick) to camera cages and L-shaped mounting plates with 1/4"-20 screw holes and cold shoe mounts, as well as MagSafe-compatible iPhones.
Compatible SSD models include: Samsung T5 / T5 EVO / T7 / T7 Shield / T9 / T9 Shield; SanDisk E30 / E61 / E81; Crucial X9 / X9 PRO Mac / X10 PRO; WD WD_BLACK P40 (500GB - 2TB) / My Passport (500GB - 4TB).
As opposed to traditional spring clamps, this holder has a controlled opening for safe and easy two-step installation. The adjustable cable clamp with one-touch locking ensures secure connections to various SSD ports. With three installation methods (cold shoe mount, 1/4"-20 screw (or MagSafe) offers a versatile SSD support solution for Camera installations or iPhone setups. In addition, internal silicone pads protect SSDs from scratches and slipping.
Installation options:
Cold Shoe Mount: Install the cold shoe base and attach the clip to the cold shoe mount on top of the cage.
1/4"-20 Screws: Use two 1/4"-20 screws to attach the clip to the side of the cage.
