The Sigma WR UV Filter is suitable for general use. The clear-glass filter absorbs UV light and reduces the blue cast that daylight can produce. The WR UV Filter is especially useful when shooting at high altitudes or near water. Also the filter provides extra protection for the front lens of your lens. By placing the filter on the lens, the front lens is protected from moisture and dust. In the event of a fall, the front lens of your precious lens is much less likely to be damaged. The filter has a coating that ensures that water droplets do not stick to the filter and residual fingerprints are prevented.
