The Sigma 50mm T1.5 FF F/VE Cine FF High-Speed Prime FF Sony-E Metric is part of Sigma's High-Speed Prime lens line. With the acclaimed optical designs of their Global Vision lens initiative. This lens offers a resolution of 6-8K and a fast maximum aperture of T1.5 in a compact and lightweight design. In addition, the focus markings are indicated in meters. Thanks to the Sony E-mount, this lens is compatible with Sony cinema and system cameras. The electronic contacts in the mount provide lens data communication between the lens and the camera.
Just like the other lenses in Sigma's High-Speed Prime lens line, this 50mm lens contains the same physical diameter. While the focus and the aperture ring is identical to the entire lens line with gear rings. The included support foot can also be attached to all lenses in the same spot. Therefore, you don't need to move your lens support after changing lenses. All High-Speed Prime lenses also share the same diameter of 95mm. Similar physical features across the entire lens line make mounting lens accessories such as matte boxes, focus tracking, lens mounts and lens control motors easier and less time-consuming. For mounting filters without a matte box, this lens also features an 82mm filter wire to accept easily available threaded filters.
