Description
Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art - L-Mount
With the versatile 35mm angle of view, you capture the world in a wide and natural way, which is ideal for landscapes, architecture and street photography. Using this lens on an APS-C camera? Then you benefit from an equivalent of 52.5mm, which delivers a highly flattering perspective for portraits. What’s more, with a minimum focusing distance of just 28 centimetres, you can get right up close to your subject for impressive close-ups.
Thanks to the extremely bright f/1.4 aperture, this lens performs brilliantly in low-light conditions and keeps the ISO value low. The 11 rounded aperture blades create a buttery-smooth, natural background blur (bokeh), with light balls remaining perfectly round. Videographers also benefit from the physical aperture ring with a de-click option, so you can adjust exposure silently and smoothly while filming.
The optical design of 15 elements in 12 groups (including four aspherical and two SLD elements) guarantees unprecedented sharpness from corner to corner. A huge advantage for astrophotographers is the excellent control of coma flare; this keeps stars at the edge of the frame as pin-sharp points, rather than distorting into comet-like tails. In addition, the new Advanced Amorphous Coating (AAC) prevents distracting reflections and light spots in strong backlight.
Despite the premium build quality, this lens weighs just 530 grams, making it 20% lighter than its predecessor and perfectly balanced on your Leica, Panasonic LUMIX or Sigma system camera. The housing is thoroughly sealed against dust and splashes and features two customisable AFL buttons for a faster workflow. Finally, the lens is designed with minimal focus breathing (unwanted in- or out-zooming while focusing), making it an extremely reliable choice for professional video productions.
