Description
The Samyang 21mm F1.4 AS UMC CS for Sony E-Mount is a large aperture wide-angle lens that is designed for system cameras with an APS-C sensor. On APS-C cameras, this lens has a focal length equivalent to 31.5mm and on MFT cameras it is 42mm. The 21mm F1.4 AS UMC CS is a manual lens (no autofocus) and is particularly suitable for landscapes and interiors but it can also be used as reportage lens.
The Samyang 21mm F1.4 AS UMC CS lens is made up of eight lens elements divided into seven groups, including one extra low dispersion (ED) lens element and three aspherical lens elements. This way a very high resolution is achieved over the entire image field. The Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) ensures optimum light transmission, and minimizes ghosting and flare.
The aperture consists of nine diaphragm blades and the minimum focusing distance is just 28 cm. This causes the main topic to almost get detached from the background at full aperture. The Samyang 21mm F1.4 AS UMC CS lens is made of an aluminum alloy, so the weight remains low.
Features of the Samyang 21mm F1.4 AS UMC CS Sony E-Mount
- Designed for system cameras with APS-C or MFT sensor
- Large aperture F1.4 lens
- Compact and lightweight
