Description
PolarPro VND 77 mm 6/9 stops Peter McKinnon Signature Edition II
With this PolarPro Variable ND filter, you have full control over the shutter speed and frame rate of your camera. Regardless of the lighting conditions. That makes it ideal for making run-and-gun videos.
The filter was made in collaboration with well-known image creator Peter McKinnon. It consists of two pieces of PolarPro CinemaSeries glass that can be slid over each other to let in the desired amount of light. You correct the light with six to nine stops. This is equivalent to an ND64 to ND512 neutral density filter.
The exceptional optical quality and low refractive index ensure a completely colour-neutral result. Cross polarisation or vignetting is a thing of the past. Even with lenses with a focal length of 16 mm. Furthermore, this glass is ideal if you want to work with apertures of f1.4 - f2.8 in clear weather. It also works great in dimly-lit conditions. This way you can record in LOG format at ISO values above 400.
The gold-coloured aluminium mount has a laser-engraved stop indicator, so you can read exactly how many f-stops of light are blocking you. When adjusting, you'll feel a soft click at every stop. Because of this soft click, you'll know exactly when the filter has reached a different stop. This way you can fully concentrate on the shot.
Defender360 protective case
This filter comes in the PolarPro Defender360 protective case. One half of this case doubles as a lens cap. Handy if you want to leave the filter on your lens. In addition, it will stop you from getting fingerprints on the filter when attaching it to the lens. You never have to touch the filter. If you accidentally touch it, you can easily clean it with the microfibre cloth.
