The Pentax HD FA 77mm F1.8 Limited is a prime lens suitable for everyday photography. The maximum aperture of f/1.8 gives you even more control over depth of field to further isolate your subject. Very nice when you get started with portrait photography. In addition, this also makes this lens perform well in low light. The 9 aperture blades contribute to a fine bokeh quality. The Pentax HD FA 77mm F1.8 Limited features a coating that controls spherical aberration and ensures neutral colour balance to prevent colour aberrations. Internal reflections are also greatly reduced thanks to the black coating on the inside of the lens barrel. The front lens element has a Super Protect coating, making you less likely to encounter dust or water damage or scratches. Finally, the Pentax HD FA 77mm F1.8 Limited features a built-in lens hood which makes blocking unwanted light a little easier
