Easy editing and sharing

The Panasonic Lumix S9 works closely with your smartphone. You can create your own so-called 'signature presets' on your smartphone. These signature presets are specific colour styles that you create in advance. By then transferring them to the S9, you can apply them directly to the photos and videos you create. This saves time in post-processing. In addition to creating your own presets, you can also choose to download presets via the LUMIX Lab app. Your shots can be transferred to your smartphone quickly and easily thanks to improved connection speed and stability. A new recording format is used for this: MP4 Lite. This is an Open Gate video mode optimised for smartphones. Within 30 seconds, your photo or video is online, exactly the way you want it.

Increase your reach with crop and hybrid zoom

You can extend the zoom range of the Panasonic S9 while maintaining image quality. This is possible with the crop zoom function and the hybrid zoom function. The crop zoom function uses the centre of the camera sensor to extend the normal zoom range. The hybrid zoom function uses both optical zoom and crop zoom to extend the focal length even further.

The lens features fast and accurate autofocus and Dual I.S. image stabilisation, allowing you to use it in many different situations. Designed for the L-mount system, the Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 Macro OIS has an advanced optical construction with 17 lens elements in 11 groups. One UED lens (Ultra Extra-low Dispersion), two ED lenses (Extra-low Dispersion) and one UHR lens (Ultra-High Refractive Index) reduce both axial chromatic aberration in the telephoto position and chromatic aberration in the wide-angle position. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.54m, this lens achieves a maximum magnification of 0.5x, allowing you to create macro photos and videos up to 50% of actual size. In addition, the 11-blade aperture creates beautiful, rounded bokeh.

The Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 Macro OIS is also suitable for video recording thanks to a mechanism that minimises focus breathing and suppresses focus shift while zooming. As a result, your subject always appears sharply in focus. Despite its large range, it is still compact and lightweight, as well as resistant to dust, splashes and temperatures down to 10 degrees below zero. The front element has a fluorine coating that repels water and dust, and the filter diameter is 77mm.
