The Panasonic LUMIX GH7 is the next-generation mirrorless camera designed to meet the needs of demanding videographers. The camera features, among other things, a 25.2 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, improved autofocus, internal ProRes RAW recording and 32-bit float recording. This camera offers everything you need as an image creator.

Flexibility and creativity

When creating your footage, you can choose from various aspect ratios, such as 4:3, 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16. The camera records video in, among others, 5.7K at 60 fps and 5.8K at 30 fps. You also have the option of High Resolution Slow Motion in 4K at 120 fps in 4:2:0 10bit and Full HD at 240 fps in 4:2:2 10bit. This camera captures burst shots at 60 fps in Auto Focus Continuous mode and 75 fps in Auto Focus Single Mode. It features a large 3-second buffer and the image will not black out during shooting.

You can completely personalise your videos and photos using Real Time LUT. This allows you to create your own filters and style for your recordings. You can store up to 39 LUTs on your camera for later use. Via the LUMIX Lab app, you can easily share all your footage and download LUTs from other users.

Always sharp and stable footage

The GH7 autofocus can easily recognise, identify, track and keep subjects in focus. Subjects such as people, animals, cars, motorcycles, trains and aircraft are all effortlessly recognised by the camera. When both animals and people appear in the frame, the camera recognises them separately. The autofocus goes even further. You can even focus on specific parts of the subject. For vehicles, you can focus on the driver’s face, for trains on the driver’s cabin and for aircraft on the cockpit.

Whether you are filming or photographing, your footage will always be sharp and stable. The 7.5-stop (dual) 5-axis image stabilisation prevents motion blur in your photos. In addition, you have access to multiple image stabilisation modes, including Active I.S. for stable footage in active situations and E.I.S., which corrects ‘perspective distortion’.

Efficient sharing with the outside world

The Panasonic LUMIX GH7 is extremely reliable. It is robust thanks to its dust- and splash-resistant body, which can withstand even extreme weather conditions. The camera also features a built-in cooling fan that dissipates excess heat, allowing you to continue filming for longer. The touchscreen is both tiltable and fully articulating and offers high contrast and brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even in extreme sunlight.
Sharing your files takes no time at all. During filming, you can create proxy files. These files reduce the file size and allow for faster transfer. You also have the option of Frame.io Camera to Cloud, enabling you to easily transfer your files to the Frame.io platform. This gives everyone involved in the project access to the footage. You can also livestream very easily with this Panasonic GH7. This can be done wirelessly via the LUMIX Sync app or through USB tethering between the camera and your smartphone.

This Panasonic GH7 camera has received a software upgrade key (DMW-SFU3A). With this upgrade, ARRI LogC3 is enabled, allowing seamless colour matching with ARRI digital cinema cameras. The options for Log recording, rich colour information and wide dynamic range have also been expanded, giving you even better workflow compatibility with the GH7.

The Panasonic LUMIX DMW-DMS1E is a high-quality digital shotgun microphone for LUMIX mirrorless cameras. This all-in-one microphone is designed for content creators and professionals who want maximum sound quality without complicated external recorders or cables. Thanks to the direct hot shoe connection, the microphone is powered directly and the digital audio signal is sent straight to the camera.

The DMW-DMS1E features a newly developed 10 mm large-diameter microphone array that delivers clear, focused and natural sound. The internal floating shock mount minimises vibration noise during handheld use, while the included windscreen effectively suppresses wind noise. The advanced wind noise reduction system uses float recording technology, reducing wind without compressing the original sound.

With six different directional modes, the microphone adapts to every recording situation. From cardioid and supercardioid for focused voice recordings to stereo and wide stereo for capturing ambient sound. There is even a bidirectional mode for interviews that clearly records both the front and rear sides.

The microphone supports 32-bit float recording (on compatible models), preventing distortion at high sound pressure levels of up to approximately 120 dB. In addition, the DMW-DMS1E features a backup recording function in 4-channel mode, ensuring important audio is always safely recorded.

Weighing only 100 grams and featuring a compact design, your camera setup remains lightweight and mobile. Physical switches allow quick operation, while the brightness of the directional indicators can be adjusted for use in low-light conditions.

Compatible with LUMIX S1II, S1RII, S1IIE, S5II and S5IIX. Firmware update required. Support for the GH7 and G9II will follow via future firmware updates.
