The Panasonic Eneloop charger CC55 is the successor to the CC16. The charger now indicates with different LED lights to what extent the batteries are charged. The charger has its own light for each battery. It charges the batteries separately and you can also charge different types at the same time.
A red light indicates that the battery has 0-20% capacity, yellow is 20-80%, green is 80-99%, and when the battery is fully charged, no light is on. A flashing yellow light indicates a potential problem with your battery, and a flashing red light indicates a charging problem, such as the wrong brand of battery in the charger.
The charger fully charges 4 empty Eneloop AA 2000mAh or AAA 800mAh batteries in 3 hours. 4 AA 2500mAh batteries takes 4 hours.
The charger comes with 4 rechargeable AA batteries of 2500mAh. After a year, the charging capacity is still 85% and you can charge them up to 500x. This means you can enjoy the batteries for a very long time. They are a sustainable choice; the batteries are charged at the factory with solar energy and packed in an environmentally friendly packaging. Effective down to temperatures of -20°C.
