The 20 megapixel Live MOS sensor and TruePic IX processor deliver sharp, clear images. Thanks to 5-axis image stabilisation, motion blur is reduced and you can shoot handheld with ease. Up to 6.5 EV stops of exposure compensation allow you to work with longer shutter speeds. Focusing is fast thanks to face and eye detection. For fast-moving subjects, not only does the 5-axis stabilisation come in handy, but also the Pro Capture function, which captures images from before the moment you fully press the shutter. Shoot up to 30 fps in S-AF and up to 10 fps with C-AF.

The new CP button gives you quick access to the OM-5 II’s most advanced functions. High Res Shot mode makes every photo razor-sharp and rich in detail. Shoot handheld photos up to 50 megapixel RAW, or even 80 megapixel RAW with a tripod. Thanks to in-camera focus stacking, every part of the photo is equally sharp; perfect for macro photography! You can also use the HDR function, which combines multiple exposures into one evenly bright photo. Specifically for outdoor use, the camera features many functions that make photography simple and fast. In sunny weather, you can use the built-in ND filters. At night, use Live Composite, Night Vision or Starry Sky AF for photography in low to no light. Videographers can film in 4K resolution at 30 fps. Use OM-Log400 for improved dynamic range – ideal if you like to colour grade extensively in post-production. The new OM-Cinema 1 and 2 colour profiles give your footage a distinctive look.
