The Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera combines exceptional resolution with lightning-fast performance. The Z8 is a hybrid of the popular Nikon Z7II and Z9 with professional performance in a more compact housing. Compact, lightweight, powerful: ideal for all handheld applications.

Razor-sharp precision

Thanks to its full frame, stacked 45.7 megapixel sensor, the camera delivers images with fantastic resolution and fast readout times. Besides RAW (including high-efficiency) and JPEG, the camera also shoots in HEIF 10-bit support for flawless colour accuracy.

An advanced algorithm prevents noise and flickering. Intelligent automatic white balance ensures the right colour temperature in any situation.

Lightning fast

Despite the lack of a mechanical shutter, the camera is lightning fast with a minimum shutter speed of 1/32000. Thanks to the fast shutter speeds you freeze motion in no time, even in extremely bright light situations you can achieve unprecedented depth of field. The long shutter speed of 30 seconds is expandable to 900 seconds in M mode for interesting long exposures.

With the Z8, you are always ready for action. You can shoot continuously in RAW at up to 20fps. When shooting in JPEG, you can even shoot at up to 120fps! So with impressive burst capabilities, you won't miss a single moment.

Faultless focus

Intelligent autofocus supports the detection of people, animals and vehicles. With 493 focus points, your intended subject is in focus quickly, sharply and precisely. The focus system works even in low light, ideal for astrophotography, concerts and other dark conditions. With different autofocus modes and speeds, there is always a mode that perfectly suits your photography style. The Z8 also features 3D tracking AF, ideal for fast, erratic moving subjects. The 5-axis in-body stabilisation prevents unwanted vibrations for razor-sharp images. With 6-stop compensation, you can easily shoot handheld even at slower shutter speeds.

Professional video results

For cinema-worthy footage, the Z8 lets you shoot 12-bit raw footage in 8.3K at 60fps. For even smoother slow motion videos, film in 4K at up to 120fps! Also, the Z8 supports Apple ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW video output giving you ultimate control over your images while keeping file sizes manageable. Other supported codecs include H.265, H.264, N-Log and HLG. Whatever video content you create, with the Z8, images are razor-sharp and detailed with meticulous colours.

Ease of use

The 3.2-inch LCD screen can be tilted and swivelled. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB-LAN connectivity options make it easy to transfer all your images to external devices. The EN-EL15C battery has an operating life of 275 photos, for extra power an external battery grip is available. The weatherproof design makes the Z8 extra robust and versatile.
