The Laowa 4mm f/2.8 is a circular fisheye lens for the Fuji X-mount cameras from Venus Optics. With this lens you can take unique shots and capture more than meets the eye. It has a viewing angle of 210 degrees. Thanks to the enormous depth of field, you can capture everything excellently. It is not only sharp in the center of the frame, but also at the edges. Furthermore, the lens has a near focus distance of 8 centimeters. This means that you can capture unique images from both very close and from a distance. For example, the extreme viewing angle allows you to capture animals up close in a funny way. Of course you can also choose to capture the width of a landscape.
The lens captures everything in a spherical shape. However, it is possible to remove this effect. You do this by de-fishing it, giving you ordinary ultra-wide-angle shots without extreme distortion. It is also possible to create a panorama from two to three images. So you have plenty of creative options.
