Kase Revolution Infrared IR720 magnetic 82mm
The Kase Revolution Infrared IR720 magnetic 82mm is a magnetic shockproof tempered optical glass filter including adapter ring, no camera conversion required.
No camera conversion is required when using the Revolution IR720 filter, but please note! Long exposure times, so the use of a Tripod is recommended.
Good to know:
- 1. Most of the infrared rays are available on sunny days, especially between 10:00 and 16:00.
- .
- 2. Recommended white balance setting: use a viewfinder with green grass or plants in the sun.
- .
- 3. Can later be converted through the red and blue channels to createëren different visual effects.
- 4. Do not use a small aperture for shooting, this is prone to bright spots.

- 5. While shooting, the effect of flowing light and sidelight is better, and backlighting easily causes a lot of glare.

A few more tips to take a good and beautiful Infrared photo:
Switch your Camera to Manual and shoot in RAW.You will have to check everything yourself. In some situations, you may also need to focus manually. The IR720nm filter is equivalent to 5/6-stops of light reduction.
Use a Tripod. Because you reduce the available light when using this Filter, you will find that exposure times are more challenging to shoot handheld as a result. Still, to avoid overly slow shutter speeds, you can increase the ISO or make the Aperture a little larger. Extreme light possibilities - Sunrise and sunset are not ideal situations because the available light is low.
Don't be alarmed that your photo is pale red if you take your photos in colour. This is how you want it to look with the 720nm Filter.
Best is to choose image style 'monochrome' and shoot in RAW. That way you can see the result of Infrared's influence immediately.
