It gives a special effect to your photos and Video, keeping the dark tones protected from this effect. The filter looks like normal clear glass, but when you look more closely, you see that the glass is diffuse, containing small dark or black dots. These dots help maintain contrast while diffusing the high lights.
The effect of the Black Mist filter is very slight and is determined by the amount of highlights in your photo. If you have very even light, you hardly notice it, but the more bright light sources you get in the picture, the more the effect becomes visible.
