The use of a background cloth has several advantages. For example, it is less heavy and takes up less space than a paper background roll and can easily be folded for use on location. A chromakey green screen is also called a greenscreen and is often used in the film world. The green color can easily be photoshopped away so that a person or other subject can easily be shopped in front of a different background. You can wash a background cloth in the washing machine and also remove wrinkles by gently steaming them out. Cloths are sensitive to shrinkage, wrinkling and color fading. Therefore, when washing, make sure that you do not wash them warmer than 30 degrees Celsius and do not tumble dry.
