The Irix Cine Lens 11mm T4.3 for MFT (metric) is a full-frame cine lens, ready for capturing images at 8K UHD resolution. Its extremely short focal length, straight-line image projection and large image circle of 43.3 mm (covering the full-frame format) make this one of the most distinctive cine lenses on the market. Depending on the diagonal of the sensor, the lens can offer a moderate wide angle for classic wide-angle shots or a superpanoramic viewing angle of 123 degrees in a 2.39:1 widescreen format. Thanks to its unique parameters, the Irix 11mm T4.3 offers perspective not available in film optics, freeing up creativity when shooting dynamic shots.

The optical lens system is based on the new optical formula developed specifically for cinematic purposes. It consists of 16 optical elements, four of which are made of high refractive index (HR) glass, three others have aspherical surfaces and the last two are made of low dispersion (ED) glass. The use of a large front lens and other special glass elements ensures sharp film shots in up to 8K resolution, while keeping the focus "breathing" effect at its lowest level. The lens offers a large maximum T-number of 4.3, which can be reduced to T22, thanks to the rounded shape of the aperture blades.

In designing the 11 mm T4.3 mechanical lens system, Irix used newly developed technical solutions that were successfully implemented in the Irix Cine 150 mm T3.0 lens. The new Multi Start Thread focusing mechanism enables silent and precise focusing even in adverse weather conditions such as rain, humidity or extreme temperatures. The focusing ring rotates 180 degrees and has a focusing scale with metric units.

Thanks to another innovative solution, such as the adaptive ring, the Irix Cine 11mm T4.3 provides great ergonomics in operation, both by hand and with the follow-focus mechanism. Moreover, despite the very short optical system layout, the focusing and aperture rings were placed at the same height as in other Irix Cine lenses - all for better ergonomics and more intuitive use.

Exceptional functionality and innovative solutions are a distinctive feature of all Irix products. The same applies to the Irix Cine 11mm T4.3, whose extremely compact design (weight 1.1 kg) is also equipped with an innovative Magnetic Mount System for accessories. The MMS system allows quick and easy attachment of various special accessories, such as the included lens hood.

The ultra-wide field of view of the Irix 11mm T4.3 means the natural working environment is outdoors. The durable magnesium housing and numerous rubber seals ensure the safety of both the optical system and the camera sensor in all weather conditions.

The 11 mm T4.3 is another lens from the Irix Cine line that proves that innovative technical solutions can perfectly harmonise with established standards in the film industry. The lens has a 95 mm diameter front flange and gear rings in the Mod 0.8 standard, ensuring compatibility with most film equipment accessories.
