The 43mm HOYA HDX CIR-PL is an absolute top quality circular polarizing filter that will continue to perform in any situation. The polarizing filter is made of extra hardened glass and therefore has 4x the tensile strength of traditional filters. The filter is specially made for today's digital market, in which the sensors are more sensitive to reflected light than in the analog era. The Hoya HDX filter has special coatings on both sides that reduce internal reflections and filter out UV cast, delivering a more saturated and sharper image. The 8-layer multi-coating on both sides of this polarizing filter ensures maximum optical performance and a light transmission of no less than 99.4% (and no less than 25% more light transmission than regular polarizing filters). This multi-layer coating also ensures that the filter is water, dirt and scratch resistant, making it more pleasant to use and last longer.

Finally, the mount is made of very durable black anodized aluminum, which completely closes the filter glass, so that moisture and light cannot penetrate undesired. This mount is also extra thin, so you don't suffer from vignetting, as is the case with a large part of the cheaper filters. This makes it extremely suitable for use with wide-angle lenses.
