Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Fujinon eqv. 24-85mm
The Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR is a weather resistant lens that offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24-82.5mm. This is suitable for both wide angle and portrait. With a constant f/2.8 aperture, it is effective in low light conditions and able to focus with a shallow depth of field. The lens is compatible with all Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras and features an advanced lens design, internal focusing and a Twin Linear Motor AF system for extremely fast and near-silent autofocus.
The lens construction consists of 17 elements in 12 groups. The optical design includes three additional Low Dispersion (ED) elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and three aspherical elements to reduce spherical aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range. In addition, a Nano-GI and HT-EBC coating has been applied to the lens elements to minimize the refractive index between the elements and prevent lens flare and ghosting. In combination with some X-series cameras, the Lens Modulation Optimiser technology corrects diffraction, even at small apertures. This provides increased edge-to-edge sharpness.
The lens is provided with 14 different weather resistant layers to protect the lens against moisture and dust. This allows you to continue to use the lens in harsh conditions. The internal focus and internal zoom design also help to prevent dust from entering the lens while keeping the lens easy to handle thanks to its compact shape. The minimum focusing distance of the lens is 30cm, and the circular aperture with 9 blades ensures a pleasant out-of-focus.
