The Fotodiox Pro lens is a mounting adapter to mount Nikon Nikkor F-Mount G-Type lenses on a Canon EOS EF/EF-S camera. This adapter allows infinity focus or beyond. The adapter has a precise fit and solid connection. The lens therefore, has no play and therefore, cannot wobble when mounted on the adapter. This is a manual adapter. The lens functions that depend on the electronic communication with the camera body such as autofocus, AE metering and image stabilization can be disrupted by this. The exposure and aperture must be set manually. 

Some cameras must be set in a certain way for the adapter to work. Otherwise you will get a error. With 'focus by wire' lenses such as Canon STM lenses, you need power to activate the manual focus ring on the lens. This adapter is therefore, not suitable for this, because the lenses cannot focus. 

If the lens does not have a manual aperture ring, the aperture is reset to the default setting. This is dependent on the lens. This has been reset to the largest aperture or the smallest aperture.
