Eizo ColorEdge CG319X 31" Monitor

The Eizo ColorEdge CG319X 31" Monitor offers benefits of decisive importance in the 4K video world and for photographers and graphic designers: this monitor displays extremely sharp content thanks to its resolution of 149 ppi. With 4096 x 2160 pixels, the CG319X is the ideal monitor to handle DCI-4K content and display it natively. With the built-in calibration sensor and pre-installed HDR presets for HLG and PQ ranges, this monitor is ideally suited for professional tasks in video editing, photography and other graphic applications.

The CG319X has a DCI-4K-4096 x 2160 (4K), which is equivalent to four times as many pixels as Full HD (1920 x 1080). This makes the monitor the ideal tool for 2D and 3D CGI or visual effects - from compositing to color grading. The monitor convinces with a very good contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a brightness of 350 cd/m2. The LCD module with IPS panel (Wide Gamut) creates a viewing angle of 178° possible. As a result, color nuances and contrasts remain stable from every viewing angle of the user. The CG319X complies with HLG and PQ tone curves with the relevant standards for the display and editing of content in HDR (High Dynamic Range). Thanks to the optimized gamma curves, these come close to the natural, human color perception. Production and post-production professionals can rely on reliable display with HDR tone curves for editing and color grading.

The Wide Gamut monitor reliably reproduces 98% of the DCI-P3 standard used in the digital cinema and in the same way supports the Rec. 2020 standard. In addition, the CG319X covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color space. When images recorded in the RAW format are converted to Adobe RGB, the monitor displays this absolute color fidelity. The EIZO monitor also offers major advantages when printing: the monitor covers virtually the entire CMYK color space (e.g. ISO Coated and U.S. Web Coated). On the monitor you can see what the later print result will look like and thus save test prints.

With its high contrast ratio, the CG319X displays deep blacks, which often look pale or faded on a typical LCD monitor due to the backlight. This is especially true when the monitor is viewed from the side in dimly lit rooms. The CG series is equipped with a retardation film that makes this depth of black tones possible even at large viewing angles. You cannot be more comfortable: using the supplied software ColorNavigator or the OnScreen menu you can easily determine the timing of the calibration. The monitor then calibrates completely automatically. This allows you to have the calibration carried out in the lunch break or at night. The computer does not even have to be connected for that.

For film production: 3D LUT profiles

Film emulation with 3D-LUT ColorNavigator and ColorNavigator NX can use 3D-LUT files from the color grading of movies to retrieve data for emulation on the monitor. This film emulation is available for up to five color modes of the monitor and is suitable for simulating the coloration of films.

Gamut Warning

The color space warning works in two modes: Rec.2020 content that cannot be displayed in the Rec.709 color space is shown in grayscale. Alternatively, the Rec.709 clipping mode simulates how material in Rec.2020 would be displayed on HDTV equipment.

Perfect anti-reflection

The IPS panel is optimally anti-reflective. Glare caused by the scattering of the reflected light is reduced to a minimum. This prevents your eyes from becoming overloaded. Moreover, the monitor allows for large viewing angles without disturbing reflections. This is especially useful when several people are sitting in front of the screen.

Protection against glare due to the light cover

The light hood reduces reflections and light on the screen and saves your eyes. The hood is easy to install and reduces the light from above and from the sides.
