The DZOFilm X-tract 18-28mm T8 FF Probe Macro Zoom lens PL mount (metre) covers the most important part of the probe range that the creative industry could use. The amazing thing about this probe lens is not only its ability to zoom, but more importantly with the same image quality as probe prime lenses at T8, according to tests done.

The X-tract Probe Zoom series includes 3 different interchangeable front elements, including a 0-degree, a 90-degree and a 360-degree periscope. This enables several new movements and applications, such as underwater shooting up to 28 cm (IP57). The unique design of this macro zoom lens – with a working distance of 6mm – allows easy access to narrow, hidden spaces, capturing microscopic details invisible to the naked eye.

The 18 - 28mm zoom range - full frame – gives image-makers much more freedom than the usual 24mm probe primes. Therefore, having more range while maintaining image quality was at the top of the wish list of many creatives in high-end productions. T8 aperture offers enough light when shooting a dark scène, and it makes high-speed shooting a lot easier on a tight lighting budget. T8 wide open shows high-quality image, just as a prime probe would.

The X-Tract Probe Zoom kit also includes special lens support elements to prevent vibrations during high-speed shooting. The excellent build quality is very solid and better than other probe lenses on the current market.

The native PL-mount is compatible with DZOFILM Octopus and most PL-E/RF/LPL adapters and Speedboosters. An interchangeable EF mount will be available soon.
