The controls are compatible with rekordbox and Serato DJ Lite and you can use the software for free by connecting your PC/Mac to the DDJ-FLX4. If you want to upgrade to Serato DJ Pro, you can purchase a license or subscription for the premium version of the software. The layout of the controls is user-friendly, making it easy to learn how to DJ. Everything is clearly arranged and the controls are compact enough to be easy to take with you. Don't know how to mix yet? No problem, you can start right away with the Smart Fader function, which automatically adjusts the volume, bass volume and BPM of the music so you can make a smooth transition between your songs by simply moving the channel faders or crossfader back and forth. What's more, Smart CFX lets you apply a combination of effects to add drama to your sound at the turn of a knob.
Because rekordbox is compatible with many streaming services, you can choose from millions of songs available on platforms like TIDAL, Beatport Streaming, Beatsource Streaming and SoundCloud Go+ (subscriptions required) and mix them on your DDJ-FLX4. Thanks to a built-in sound card, you can connect the DDJ-FLX4 directly to your speakers or amplifier via a single RCA cable. Plus, you can record to rekordbox via the same USB connection.
