The Canon XA15 Camcorder is a powerful camcorder with an excellent 20x zoom that easily captures full HD video. The XA15 offers a remarkable combination of portability, outstanding image quality, an exceptional lens and professional interfaces. The camcorder has a powerful and fast f/1.8-2.8 20x optical zoom lens with a 26.8mm wide-angle range. A new lens with modified Hi UD (Hi Index Ultra Dispersion) glass provides reduced chromatic aberration, while 5-axis optical image stabilization reduces camera vibrations, and an eight-blade circular diaphragm with EMD (Electro Magnetic Diaphragm) technology provides natural and beautiful material. With an advanced HD CMOS Pro sensor, the XA15 offers excellent performance with improved signal-to-noise ratio compared to previous models.

Equipped with Wide DR and Highlight Priority for rich expressiveness in clear areas, it delivers 50P at 35 Mbps high-quality material, assisted by a DIGIC DV 4 processor that supports advanced image stabilization. Full HD material can be recorded in AVCHD and MP4 format and simultaneously recorded in two different formats with two SD card slots. The XA15 features an HD-SDI interface for direct streaming of material to an external recorder or broadcast car. The video camera has two XLR inputs so that two different channels can be selected with independently adjustable volumes. The Canon XA15 is ideal for movie sessions full of action when both speed and mobility are important. The lightweight and compact camera features a 3.0 inch touch screen, an electronic viewfinder and a manual focus/zoom ring and joystick for easy operation.
