The Canon RF 70-200mm F/2.8L IS USM is a versatile telephoto zoom lens. This lens has a remarkably slim form factor for its extended zoom range and is characterised by its bright design and advanced optics. The constant maximum aperture of the F/2.8 is suitable for working in difficult lighting conditions and also offers greater control over depth of field. An advanced optical design consists of a series of specialized elements that help to suppress a variety of zoom range anomalies for well-controlled images. An Air Sphere Coating has also been applied to suppress flare and secondary images when working in strong light conditions.
The balance of distinguishing optical features is the Dual Nano USM focus system, which delivers fast, near-silent autofocus performance with full-time manual focus transfer. An image stabilizer also compensates for up to five stops of camera shake to provide sharper hand-held shots in harsh lighting conditions. A unique control ring is also integrated into the lens design for intuitive control over the lens' own exposure settings. In addition, it is 70-200mm weatherproof and has a fluorine coating to protect the front and rear elements.
