The Canon EOS R6 V is a compact full frame mirrorless camera specially developed for content creators who want to capture cinematic video footage as well as razor-sharp photos. The EOS R6 V is built around a 32.5-megapixel full frame CMOS sensor and is fully optimised for high-quality video productions.

Film in 7K Open Gate
Thanks to the powerful DIGIC X image processor, the R6 V can capture footage in 7K resolution at 60 fps in RAW format. The footage contains a huge amount of data, giving you maximum flexibility during post-production. The R6 V can shoot in 4K up to 120fps and in 2K and Full HD up to 180fps. The Open Gate format is ideal for content creators who want to share their footage across multiple platforms. The camera records using the entire sensor in a 3:2 aspect ratio, allowing you to crop your recordings afterwards to 16:9 for YouTube and 9:16 for social media, or any other ratio, without compromising image quality. The camera has customised picture profiles, including multiple Canon Log presets for extra colour control.

Always keep your subject sharp
The Canon EOS R6 V focuses with Dual Pixel CMOS AF II and has an operating range of EV -6.5 to 21. This keeps autofocus reliable even in low light. The camera automatically recognises people, animals and vehicles, and tracks eyes, faces, heads and bodies. With the Register People Priority function, you can pre-register up to 10 people, so the camera gives them priority when focusing. For handheld filming, the Canon EOS R6 V offers 5-axis IBIS up to 7.5 stops, helping to reduce shake and deliver more stable footage.

Active cooling for long shoots
The Canon EOS R6 V has received a major update thanks to active cooling. The camera is equipped with a fan and ventilation grilles that help keep the temperature stable during intensive use. This reduces the risk of overheating when recording for longer periods in high resolution.

Also strong for photography
The Canon EOS R6 V is focused on video, but is certainly also suitable for photography. The 32.5-megapixel CMOS sensor delivers detailed photos, leaving plenty of room to crop afterwards. The electronic shutter lets you shoot at up to 40 frames per second, making it easier to capture fast action and moving subjects. Thanks to internal 12-bit RAW recording, you retain plenty of image information for post-production and colour correction.

The Canon EOS R6 V weighs just 598 grams and is fully dust- and water-resistant. The body is compact and ergonomic, with 12 customisable buttons and a 7.5cm tilting touchscreen with a resolution of 1.62 million dots. The Canon EOS R6 V is compatible with all Canon RF and RF-S lenses. In addition, the camera is equipped with a built-in microphone and supports four-channel audio via the combination of the multi-function shoe and an external microphone. Via UVC/UAC streaming, you can use the camera directly as a webcam or livestream source in 4K 60fps, without additional software on the computer. Wireless connectivity is via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. The USB connection is a SuperSpeed Plus USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C for fast file transfer and charging.
