The Canon EOS R5 Mark II is a versatile, hybrid system camera that delivers professional results. An advanced AF system, top-class video capabilities and unprecedented resolution make the camera perfect for the professional content creator.

Resolution

The updated, 45-megapixel Back Illuminated stacked CMOS sensor ensures super-sharp, clear images. Thanks to the Digic X processor and added DIGIC Accelerator processor, you can count on fast, reliable data processing. In-camera upscaling gives your content a higher resolution, without having to compromise on speed or ISO sensitivity. Images become sharper and noise is reduced, right on camera.

Exceptional autofocus

With exceptional autofocus capabilities, you won't lose track of your subject. Action priority mode lets you focus on the things that matter, even in moments of fast-paced action. During sports, the camera focuses in time based on what's about to happen, even when the ball goes out of sight, for example. With the registered people function, the camera focus prioritises preset people; ideal for weddings and sports. You can also use the improved Eye control AF, with which the camera focuses on the subject you are looking at. This method of focusing is faster than manual focusing and is also suitable for glasses wearers. 8.5 stops of stabilisation keeps both photos and film stable.

Speed

The camera not only has fast autofocus, but also fast shooting speeds. You can shoot continuously at 30fps. It is also possible to adjust the frames per second when 30 frames are too many. With pre-continuous shooting, you'll always have the perfect shot. It shoots 15 frames while the shutter release button is pressed halfway, so you also have the images before your picture is taken.

The rolling shutter has been reduced to such an extent that it is almost at the level of a mechanical shutter. Fast-moving subjects are no longer distorted and are accurate and detailed.

Hybrid

A true hybrid camera, the EOS R5 II also lets you shoot video in top quality. Film in 8K-resolution RAW at 60fps for super-smooth, detailed footage. Canon log 2 and HLG provide an extra wide dynamic and exposure range for extensive editing capabilities in post-production. Thanks to 4Ch 24-bit audio recording, sound is also crystal clear.

The dual shooting function lets you shoot video and photos simultaneously, uninterrupted. You can easily take JPEG images of your subject while recording a video. Continuous shooting while filming is also possible.

The unique VR playback feature allows you to see a kind of VR preview on the camera. You can see with one eye what the images would look like through VR glasses, ideal for creators working with virtual reality.

Design

The camera has a robust magnesium design that is dust- and splash-proof. The blackout free viewfinder ensures that you no longer suffer from a frozen viewfinder image. Continuous tracking of fast-moving subjects makes it easy to stop losing focus. Three new, separately available grips extend battery life and add an internet connection or ventilation.
