The Canon EOS C300 mark III is a Super 4K video camera for broadcast and documentary makers. Also, it enables corporate video products to capture creative vision with impressive cinema quality.
The Canon C300 mark III with Dual Pixel CMOS AF has a Super 35mm CMOS sensor. This makes the autofocus faster and more accurate. The EF lens mount offers compatibility not only with Canon's wide range of DSLR lenses, but also with the EF mount CN-E cinema prime and zoom lenses. The Super 35mm sensor is combined with the Canon DIGIC DV7 image processor, which applies an innovative method to improve colour performance.
The camera records 4K video on a single CF-Express card using the XF-AVC codec and H.264 format MXF wrapper. For more flexibility in adjusting your shots during post production, the camera also offers Canon Log Gamma mode, which results in excellent tonal reproduction in highlight and lowlight areas of an image and an expanded dynamic range.
The camcorder features one 12G-SDI output, timecode I / O and Genlock input BNCs. The body has a modular design that can be built up using optional accessories. The EOS C300 mark III can be expanded with an OLED electronic viewfinder EVF-V50, LCD monitor LM-V2 and many other accessories.
The Dual Pixel CMOS AF upgrade uses the existing Super 35mm sensor in the Canon EOS C300 mark III. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF is a phase detection AF technology based on a sensor to support video recording. The technology has been adapted to the capabilities of the cinema camera and is optimized for fast and natural focusing. Focusing on moving subjects is simple and easy.
Canon firmware: keep your camera up to date with the latest firmware. The 5 December 2023 update includes some camera improvements and provides support for the latest lenses and accessories.
