The Canon CN-E 70-200mm T4.4 L IS KAS Cinema EF is a new compact-servo telephoto zoom lens. This compact and lightweight 4K lens is designed for users looking for versatility and portability. The lens provides a bridge between traditional Canon EF lenses and CN-E Cinema lenses and is ideal for film and documentary makers who want the control and quality of cinema optics and the lightweight, compact design and features of Canon EF lenses. Unlike traditional cinema lenses, this lens offers autofocus, auto iris and image stabilization (when used in combination with certain Cinema EOS models), but is designed for Canon's 4K video recording standards. It comes with a servo unit for focus, iris and zoom.
Autofocus and optical image stabilization
The new CN-E 70-200mm T4.4 L IS KAS Cinema EF is a 4K lens and features auto focus and optical image stabilization (with compatible camera models), resulting in high resolution images that can help movie makers in making the recording that they have in mind. The lens is compatible with EF-mount Super 35mm large-format cameras and retains brightness over the entire focal range at T4.4 (equivalent to f/4.0). The lens is also compatible with both the Canon EF 1.4x III (98-280mm extended focus range) and the EF 2x III (extended focus range of 140mm-400mm) external extenders, increasing the focus range of the lens for added versatility when the shooting situation demands for that.
