The Broncolour Siros 800 L Wi-Fi RFS 2.1 incl. Flash Bag 1.1 is a studio flash from the Siros monolight series. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the flash head delivers up to 440 full-power flashes after a 70-minute charge. The modelling light is a 25W LED to save battery.
Speed ??is central to the design of the Siros L. The recycle time is lightning fast 0.03 to 2.7 seconds, while the normal flash duration of 0.5 mm is only 1/7400 sec. There's also a speed mode that bypasses the Siros L's enhanced colour temperature control to prioritize short flash times and high recycle rates. The result is flash duration fast enough to freeze water droplets and other stop action effects. The Siros L has a variable power range of 9 stops, from full power to 2W. While at higher settings it is possible to flash the sun, lower settings allow the use of even the widest apertures for the desired effect. All functions are available on the simple, intuitive panel via an ergonomic rotary knob, but you can also access the menus and controls of up to 6 units using your tablet or smartphone and the free sourceControl app.
Siros L features Broncolour HS for synchronization at shutter speeds up to 1/8000 sec. Broncolour HS requires an RFS2.2 transmitter, available for Canon, Nikon and Sony cameras. Existing Siros owners should ensure that their lights have the latest user-upgradeable firmware, available online at www.bron.ch/sirosfirmwareupdate/.
