The Blackmagic Ultimatte 12 HD is a real-time compositing processor that lets you capture live-action video broadcasts. The Ultimatte 12 HD has prodigious edge-handling and colour separation. Its 3G-SDI design allows you to work in HD with an excellent image as the end result. The Ultimatte 12 HD can be matched to any camera. No matter if you work with news broadcasts, TV programmes or film production, the quality will amaze you. As a director , actor and/or presenter, you can keep watching the scène during production while filming at the same time. The image processing automatically generates internal mattes, so different parts of the image are processed separately based on the colours in each area. Thanks to keying technology, the Ultimatte 12 HD analyses and automates more than 100 parameters. Add additional translucent objects such as coloured glass or graphics during broadcasting. The Ultimatte 12 HD is soósmart that it isolates and handles different parts of the image separately, while keeping the colour transitions between areas smooth.
There are several input connections for the foreground and background, holdout and waste matte, layer input for merging additional graphics over the composite image without losing één either part. It is also possible to work without video sources, as the internal frame stores allow you to load backgrounds and other elements internally. Ultimatte 12 HD includes the free Ultimatte Software Control for Mac and Windows. In the main window, there are menus arranged in sections with different functions that can be performed. Store all images and stills in flash memory, these are retained until when the power is turned off.
