You can also use the adapter to connect Thunderbolt-compatible displays to any Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C)/USB 4 port on your MacBook. For example, the Apple Thunderbolt Display.
Please note: if you use the adapter with an Apple Thunderbolt Display, a power source is required. This is because the display does not supply power via the adapter.
