The Viltrox AF 16mm f/1.8 L is a high-quality ultra-wide prime lens for Panasonic, Sigma and Leica full-frame cameras (L-mount). You benefit from full compatibility with your camera’s autofocus, including fast eye and face detection. Thanks to the extreme 105.6° angle of view and the fast maximum aperture of f/1.8, this is the ultimate choice for landscape, architecture and astrophotography.

The advanced optical design (15 elements in 12 groups) delivers maximum sharpness and high contrast. Three aspherical elements keep the design compact and minimise distortion – essential for architecture. In addition, four ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements effectively suppress annoying colour fringing (chromatic aberration) for true-to-life colours. The special HD nano coating minimises reflections, even in strong backlight.

With a maximum aperture of f/1.8, you capture an exceptional amount of light. This means you need to raise your camera’s ISO far less quickly, resulting in much cleaner images in low light. The 9-blade aperture delivers smooth background blur and creates beautiful sunstars when you stop down. What’s more, the minimum focusing distance of 27 centimetres lets you shoot impressive close-ups while still showing plenty of the surroundings.

Despite its robust, weather-sealed metal housing, this lens weighs just 550 grams. Unique is the built-in LCD colour display, which shows the focusing distance and depth of field in real time. This lens is also perfectly equipped for videographers
