Suitable binoculars for every activity
You want to observe the species, gender and condition of an animal from a distance. When purchasing your binoculars, take into account the location where you want to use the binoculars. In an open field, it is easier to use a magnification of 10x or higher than in the forest. Also consider which part of the day you want to use the binoculars. Many animals you can only see in the evening when it starts to get dark. Then choose binoculars with a dusk number of 15 or higher.Check out our "Hunting" binoculars
To spot birds it is important that the binoculars are compact and quick to use. An extreme magnification is not necessary, because if you can not spot the bird with the naked eye, you will not see it with a binocular. A binocular with a magnification of 8x is often enough. Also check the dusk number with your choice. This number is important in lighting conditions. Check for yourself whether the birds you want to spot are active during the day or in the evening.Check out our "Bird Spotting" binoculars
On the water
A boat can rock considerable. Therefore, keep in mind that an ideal magnification of binoculars on the water is 7x. This is a compromise between a stable image and a rocking deck. Also, check if the binoculars are filled with nitrogen. A binoculars with nitrogen prevents moisture in the viewer and therefor condensation. Are you afraid your binoculars fall into the water and then sink? Use a floating strap and don't worry when you're on the water.
Sport, theater and concert
If you often go to the theater, attend a concert, or watch a sports match, then you know that expressions on faces are sometimes not clearly visible. A compact, light binocular is ideal! If you want to sit on top of the action, choose a magnification of 8x to 10x. If you only want a better overview, a magnification of 4x is sufficient.

The most important thing about purchasing a night viewer is that the exit pupil must have a size of at least 5 mm. This way, there will fall enough light through the viewer on your eye, so you can see from a large distance in the dark. There are also image enhancing and infrared viewers equipped with infrared LEDs. Together with the light present, they make sure you see just a little more.Check out our "Night" binoculars
