Description
The Sony PXW-X180 Camcorder has three 1/3" Exmor CMOS sensors and can record in 10-bit 1080p Full HD XVAC Intra and XAVC Long GOP. Furthermore, MPEG HD 422, MPEG HD 420, AVCHD and DV codecs are supported, causing the PXW-X180 to have a large variety of applications. THis camcorder has a G-series 25x HD zoom lens with 26mm wide-angle and a variable ND-filter.
3x 1/3" Exmor CMOS sensor
The three Exmor sensors have a combined maximum resolution af 2,07 million effective pixels (16:9), a large dynamic reach with minimal noise and high sensitivity. Naturally, this camcorder possesses a stabilization system, allowing vibration-free recordings to be made under any circumstances.
Sony G-serie 25x HD zoom lens
Sony PXW-X180's 25x zoom lens has a range of 26-650mm and is suited for both wide-angle as tele recordings. The lens has three rings for manual zooming and adjustment of diafragma and focus. The focusring has a sliding structure allowing fast alternation between manual and automatic focus.
Double SxS memory slot
The PXW-X180 has two slots for SxS memory slots, for simultaneous recording on both memory slots. The camera is equipped with a choosing option allowing alternation between recording on slot A or B. The SxS slot can be made fit for XQD or SD memory cards by using an external adaptor.
Variable ND-filter
The Sony PXW-180 possesses a variable ND-filter that can be set from 1/4 to 1/128 ND with a turn switch. The variable ND-filter allows indoor recordings to be made with a large diafragme or low shutter speeds.
Connectivity
Sony has equipped the PXW-X180 with a 3G HD-SDI connection, HDMI, USB, composite-out, timecode input/output and a genlock input. Furthermore, a WiFi module is supplied that supports both Wifi and NFC. The Content Browser Mobile app for smartphones and tablets grants acces to certain remote controlled camera functions and transferring of MP4-files to your smartphone or tablet.
