The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary has a compact and light framework that makes it better to operate. This is emphasised in its optic performances by applying one FLD and three SLD glass elements, optimizing image quality over the whole zoom range and minimizing chromatic enlarging errors. Optical abberation, commonly found in the longest setting of hyper-tele zoom lenses, is optimally repressed over the whole zoom range. The lens is dust and waterdropproof for photographing in the field and, thanks to the detachable ring mount, hand-held photographing is made easy. This lightweight lens delivers stunning optical performances and is simple to operate.

Intelligent OS with a renewed algorithm
The OS (Optical Stabilizer) is equipped with a acceleration sensor allowing higher precision. There are two OS-functions: '1' for general photography and '2' for motorsports and other kinds of photography that need dragging. The '2' function combines the acceleration sensor with the intelligent OS. The renewed stabilisation algorithm results in optimal image stability in horizontal, vertical or diagonal dragging, regardless the setting of the lens. This attribute allows effortless recordings of moving objects.
Warning: this lens is not suited for full-frame camera's, except the Nikon F6 and the Canon EOS-1V.

Zoom lock with every focal distance
The new zoom lock allows the zoom range to be locked at any random point. It is adjustable at every desired zoom range, which allows downwards or upwards photography without changing the zoom range. This is also convenient for photographing with long shutter speeds.

Water and oil repellent coating
The front lens has a water and oil repellent coating, allowing water to be easily wiped off and preventing oil and fat sticking to the surface, even in bad recording conditions. It also simplifies cleaning of the lens surface.

Dust and waterdropproof setting
Just like the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM from the Sports-series, this lens has a rubber sealing ring that protects the setting against dust and waterdrops.

Optimized AF
The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) guarantees a fast and quiet AF. Thanks to the, compared to earlier designs, improved AF algorithm, the focus efficiency of the continuous AF (AF-C) is improved with approximately 5%.
